Swiss Anabaptist Liturgical Binding

Typical binding used on 18^th century Swiss Anabaptist religious texts (prayer books, hymnals and bibles).  The binding includes 3 brass-studded spine straps, a brass ownership plate embossed with the initials “MK”, and a brass dated plate embossed with the year 1798. The binding appears to been re-purposed to enclose a non-descript 19^th century religious text with a missing title page. The bottom spine strap is detached on one side.
